But, gosh, we folks above the 49th parallel are somewhat cautious types who can't quite see laying down billions of dollars in a three-dud poker game. http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0304-20.htm

Do you think he needs someone to bear him children?

    I've always admired Mr. Axworthy.

Here's a sampling of the words used in various Canadian blogs to describe Axworthy and his intemperate rant. They are all apt:

    intellectually incontinent
    juvenile, puerile
    stridently, virulently anti- American
    petty
    pompous
    arrogant
    disrespectful
    sanctimonious
    condescending
    insulting
    unprofessional, amateurish
    smug
    fatuous blowhard
    factually challenged

Axworthy has certainly opened a window on the mindset of recent il-Liberal governments. It certainly explains the poor relations Canada "enjoys" with its closest friend, trading partner and ally.

"It certainly explains the poor relations Canada "enjoys" with its closest friend, trading partner and ally."

CLOSEST FRIEND? TRADING PARTNER AND ALLY? You have a perverted view of close friends, trading partners and allies anon. Close friends actually *care* about the other person do they not? Trading partners actually *trade* do they not? Allies are people that back you up when they are in agreement with you are they not? If you see things otherwise anon, say no more, I know who you are.

I DO NOT agree. Our neighbour is treating us like we're it's front yard and they wish to do some major landscaping. This is our fault for giving them this idea. We are quite different, we are not family, we are just neighbours. It's time to survey the lot and build a civilized fence. For me, Lloyd has announced our intentions- nice people down there and fun to visit once in a while but we've been hanging around together too much. Let's attend to our own business and clean up our own yard. And to the poster above, you wish to present a negative consensus of feeling towards this Canadian. I would rather just hear what you have to say, it's more honest.
