Basic Information For Advisory Board Members

Posted on Monday, November 10 at 14:54 by sthompson
Here is some basic information.

Your name and personal site (if applicable) have been added to the "about" section of the Vive website. This is for the information of our readers and also helps promote you and your work: http://www.vivelecanada.ca/staticpages/index.php?page=20030129013604271

Your personal email has been added to the collective advisory@vivelecanada.ca email. Whenever someone sends an email to that address (most likely the board of directors, or another advisory board member) it will be automatically forwarded to your regular personal email account, as well as all other advisory board members.

You are now able to view this private advisory board section on the Vive site. This section is also only visible to members of the advisory board and the board of directors. It includes detailed contact information for all members of the advisory board AND the board of directors (see right). Please feel free to post comments and ideas to this section (use the "contribute" form by hitting contribute on the top menu, and choose the advisory board section from the drop-down menu of topics on the form), and/or send them directly to the board of directors.

We may invite you to take part in the occasional board meeting via IRC, and we encourage you to use IRC to chat with other advisory board and board members when you wish. To do this:

Download Trillian (free) from http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/trillian/

Or you could use a program called mIRC (http://www.mirc.com ).

Set the server to: irc.freenode.net
Join channel: #vivelecanada

Feel free to try this at any time. If you need more help getting set up, email our technical director Jesse (contact info at right).

Other than that, welcome and looking forward to working with you!
