Canada Gives 150 Million For Arctic Research

About 50,000 scientists from around the world will focus on climate change as they participate in International Polar Year, which kicked off Thursday.     Canada gives a 150 million dollars to mark start of U.S. effort for International Polar Year Program.

    No mention of money for the Canadian ships that can't do their jobs due to age, repairs and break downs the same ships used for research.

    I find it hard to think of any other reason for such commitment from PM Harper then it being a U.S. Government program.

    Well, someone has to pay for it.
