The U.S. Government forced its way into the turmoil of the collapsing colonial Vietnam in the late 50's early couple of years of the 1960's. The U.S. influence elections and set up those they wanted to govern to run in those elections which in the end the U.S. ran the Government of Vietnam. All on the justification that Communism had to be stopped at any cost or it would be on the shores of the United States of America.

We have heard the lies, fears and the threats before and now communist Vietnam is a trading partner of the U.S. and the people of Vietnam paid the biggest price for the U.S. mistakes.

When we look at the U.S. actions and mistakes of Vietnam then look at what is being done in Iraq and the comments and fears about the future of Iraq can we honestly say we can not see any similarity between the two?
