'I'm the father of the company and it's like one of your children," said the 62-year old Benedek, who owns 23 per cent of Zenon's shares and plans to act only as an adviser if the deal goes through in the months ahead.
"You love your children and you never want them to leave home but there comes a time when, for their own good, they should leave home and get the father to visit once in a while."
Zenon joins the list of Hamilton industrial technology success stories such as Wescam and Dofasco being snapped up by foreign buyers.
