However, this was not initially seen as a robbery but as a professional hit! And blamed on the victims! Anybody but a local.
And the Mexican authorities still insist it was a professional hit, though why or by whom they don't know, or want to say; the later being more likely.

Good for you Scott.
It seems that some people believe the RCMP can go to any country and just take over an investigation. An RCMP liason in Mexico had been briefed but the news media believe it's they who is to make the call. Fortunatly the RCMP are not required to investigate crimes committed on Canadians in foreign countries nor is it feasable that foreign police officers are required to investigate crimes in Canada.There are a lot of misgivings over American Police officers doing joint investigations with Canadian Police officers in Canada.
