Atlantic Premiers Vow 'collaboration' On Energy & Transportation

The premiers signed an update to the Atlantic procurement agreement, requiring provinces to allow companies from across the region to make bids on projects of $10,000 or more — lower than the previous minimum of $25,000. The premiers spoke in general terms of their increased interest in having Newfoundland and Labrador send electricity from the Lower Churchill Falls project through an undersea cable to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
