Census Bureau Sharing Information On Arab Americans

The Customs and Border Protection group within the department want to use the information to install signs at border crossings and in airports as stated in the article. Big deal. Zip codes of where ethnic groups live is hardly big time intelligence, hopefully American authorities are doing more than that with regards to observing the ethnic group most likely to support terrorism against Western countries. Arabs and Muslims in North America have yet to even form a weak opposition to Arab and Muslim terrorist killing, on the contrary, they blatantly support it with donations to 'humanitarian organizations' and refuse to denounce this violence, they are instead quick to denounce the West for what they call licentiousness, or vice and then proceed to demand swift retribution for any percieved slight. Until Arabs and Muslims demonstrate that they are willing to get along with others - something they have refused so far - they should be subject to greater scrutiny for the safety of everyone.

People always seem to forget that police states go after immigrants and minorities first, because they're more vulnerable and people's racism allows them to overlook it. But after the vulnerable groups, next comes dissidents and other white folks who dare to question authority.

So I do find this extremely disturbing, because it is a breach of privacy and paints all Arab-Americans with the same brush--"potential terrorists". It also shows why it is so dangerous to contract out our own Canadian census to US military contractor Lockheed Martin, which we are doing in 2006 and already did with the census testing. It's likely the Dept of Homeland Security would be getting the same information on Arab-Canadians. And look how helpful information sharing was in the case of Maher Arar--we'd just be inviting similar cases.

Please do us all a favor and get a clue. Stop polishing that tin foil hat of yours...it is starting to become so blindingly bright, you don't even try to find out the facts before you paint such an atrocious picture of our country. Call statscan...call your representative...ask questions...stop making up crap and start looking into things a little more.
