BYU placed Jones on paid leave last week, in part for what it called "the increasingly speculative and accusatory nature of these statements by Dr. Jones."
The action came two days after Jones appeared on KUER-FM 90.1's respected news talk show "Radio West." On the show, he said it appeared responsibility for the attacks rested with Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle and an "international banking cartel."
The statement drew immediate response from Jews who said they were offended because references to international banking have for decades been used by anti-Semitic groups as codespeak to blame Jews for various problems. Hitler often blamed "international financiers" for Germany's debt after World War I.

If I should write using the word “The” followed by any identifiable group will the statement be understood as being all inclusive of that group?
The English?
The Scots?
The Jews?
The second question concerns its self wit the ADL
In my opinion the ADL can be likened to Tail-Gunner Joe McCarthy of ‘a commie under every bed’ fame. The difference is Senator McCarthy passed on and the ADL lives on. Such is the way of organisations, the philosophy lives on to protect the guilty as well as any who may be innocent.
Why is China-man politically incorrect while English-man and French-man as only two examples are not?
The McCarty’ and ADL’s as well as others of their ilk are fully aware of the use of pressure as a tool for manipulate and use it both surgically and as a hammer to smash any though with which they do not agree.
Any ideas that free thinking societies will flourish under such pressure are false.
Any permission for such pressure to exist is folly.
It seems to me that it is the control freak (s) wishing to impose their brand of thinking that are the real problem makers.

However, Jones did NOT say anything about "the Jews"! You can read it a million times over and there's absolutely NO indication that Jones was speaking about Jews at all! In fact, he named specfic people, and he mentioned "international bankers" which are orgainzations made up from a diverse set of religious backgrounds.
To say Jones was speaking about "Jews" is absurd and deluisonal thinking.
The ADL, and similar organizations, have nothing to do with fighting racism and hatred, rather it should be obvious that they are CENSOR lobby groups, that use methods such as fraud, extortion, and other forms of coercion to shut people up who voice matters that they would prefer not be stated in public.
It is completely absurd to suggest that Jones was speaking about "Jews", and to do such a silly thing indicates that who ever wants Jones silenced is getting very desperate.
The other thing about the ADL and so forth, is that they operate in the name of "the Jews", as if they represent the entire Jewish community at large. I doubt such a thing is the case, and I have to assume many Jews agree with what Jones has been researching and stating.
If I were Jewish, I'd be very angry at the ADL for misrepresentation and making Jews look VERY bad in the eyes of the world at large.
I don't understand why members of the Jewish community don't stand up and denounce the ADL (and so forth). Most Jews must realize by now that the actions of these so-called Jewish organizations that insanely support Zionism and Israel are doing nothing but promoting hatred against Jews in general.

“Attacking The Messenger <br />
<br />
The growing attack on critics of 9/11 has reached a crescendo this week. Not only has the public been exposed to multiple conspiracy debunkers on radio and television interviews as well as articles in national magazines, but this week Brigham Young University put Prof. Steven Jones on paid leave to stop any influence he might have on students pending an investigation into what BYU considers his "increasingly speculative and accusatory" statements concerning the real cause of the WTC collapse.”<br />

"'BYU is literally the example we use of a university that does not promise strong free speech or academic freedom protections,' says Greg Lukianoff, the president of the Foundation for Individual Rights on Campus [which places BYU on its own censure list].”<br />
<br />
“Blogger Jayne Stahl summed up the broader context of this kind of politically correct censorship when she wrote, "If participation in socially, or politically, unorthodox, or iconoclastic groups, is grounds for even temporary suspension from one's teaching responsibilities, how can we expect the integrity of scholarship itself not to be compromised? Consider for a moment the flagrant irony in the fact that an administration which claims to be fighting 'Islamic fascism' has engendered a climate in which the university, traditionally the safest place to practice irreverence, and engage in dissenting discourse would have such dire consequences, all in the name of securing our national ethos. In order to remain safe from attack from without, must we attack from within?. Wasn't academic freedom the first casualty of European fascism?"<br />
