I live in Toronto, and I remember walking past the film shoot in the Yonge & Davisville area. I asked some low-level crew member what was being shot, and he said it was a \"Canadian film\". He seemed surprised that I still cared what its name was after knowing it was Canadian, and was happy when I immediately asked what its name was, and when it would be playing. He said \"A movie called Foolproof\", a couple of times until I heard him correctly, but couldn\'t tell me exactly when it would be playing. He siad it would \"Be about nine months from now.\" I beleive that was back last January or February, 2003, so I guess he kept his word.

The commercials make this movie look like a less hoked-up imitation of an American movie.....Hopefully I\'m proven wrong.....Oh yeah, who\'s Ryan Reynolds?

Ryan Reynolds starred in National Lampoon\'s Van Wilder (typical kind of US college movie, also starring party girl Tara Reid). He also used to be in the sitcom \"Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place\". I agree the ads make it look kind of amateurish...but I\'m still interested to see the final result.

On a side note, if you like horror that also makes you think a little, Canadian movies Cube and Cube 2: Hypercube were quite good (the second being better IMHO).

I\'m also interested to see it. Thanks for the information on Reynolds....I take it he\'s Canadian, too. It would be nice if he didn\'t have to use his American credentials to promote this movie, but whatever. We\'re getting there, slowly.

Thanks for the tip on those other movies. Another Canadian horror movie you may not have heard of, dates way back to 1974. That year, the Canadian production \"Black Christmas\" was filmed. It is a little known about film, but is revered in some horror film circles. It starred, among others, Olivia Hussy of \"Romeo and Juliet\" fame. (as a 17-year-old in 1968.) Although I liked her, it tells you what Hollywood thought of her ; a well-known actress appearing in a relatively unknown Canadian film at the prime age of 26! ....maybe that\'s why I like her.
