\"Well what do you do now, Orchard?\"

He should join the newly-formed CANADA PARTY with Paul Hellyer & Jack Layton, become Prime Minister & say in your face MacKay/Harper!! haha That would be sweeeeet.

There isn\'t a newly-formed Canada party yet, is there?

Spoke with Layton yesterday here in Vancouver - not yet but it is being seriously considered. Bad point - looks like they will not be ready for the upcoming elections.

Oh man, I hope that\'s not 100% true.... It will never be too late for a Canada Party & I think they can be ready for the next election. Once Martin becomes PM & starts cutting everything people will wake up. I\'m still optimistic. :)

I\'m with you on the \'Oh Man\' please, please, please, say it is true!!! We need these guys and I agree that the populous is going to get a small taste of Martin before the election, and with very little else, they are going to run to a party that really represents Canada. Oh, this is really good news!!!! Also, an after thought, of course the possibilities are endless if these guys could get elected, the census issue would be no more, cause NAFTA would be no more!!!!!

The NDP like CAP did before them need to have a convention and vote on the idea. Unlike the PCs under MacKay they seem determined to make sure it is the right move and is supported by a clear majority in the most democratic way possible - as it should be.

If there was ever a time for Canadians to become pushy - now is the time - for time is running out on this nation called Canada.

Not in time for the next election = never gonna happen. If it was necessary it would happen now, like the united white (right). If they can afford to wait til after the election, it's not that important. If the NDP didn't think they could plow ahead with the same old tired strategy, they would be doing something different.

As for Orchard, why would he join the new Canada Party when he can kick a little PC ass, use the law to maintain control of the official PC party after the bogus merger, and then become ultimate maestro of his own party, purged of the right-wing wackos. Woe is he who underestimates the impact of Orchard as a legitimate party leader, rather than the maverick he's touted as right now. He will definitely raise questions that are usually left quiet - i.e. NAFTA, FTA, and other so-called dead issues.

---
“Sex, Drugs, Love, Marx...”
Flick Harrison’s new digital feature
MP3, trailer, scenes and stills at:
http://www.armedrabble.org/sdlm.htm

I think the timing couldn`t be better for forming the CANADA PARTY!!! Let`s do it now! It could be ready for the next election if people put their minds to it! You make a good point about Orchard, Flick, that has stirred things up in the PC party and on the right. To continue to do so is good, but no doubt, Orchard would be an asset to the CANADA PARTY. But i say, LET`S DO IT! Nothing is impossible!

I was kind of joking about Orchard & the \"Canada Party\" but the things that would be proposed are right up his alley, including telling the banks to fund projects in Canada. The CAP/NDP merger has a much better chance of happening than the CA/PC thing. I think it\'s still too soon to tell though, we\'ll have to wait & see what happens before Dec 15 or whatever the deadline is for the response.

Well, I wouldn`t want any more PC`s than Orchard joining in, because the PC party is too far right wing for my liking, and too far right to serve the purpose of the Canada Party. When PC`s say that \'Free Trade\' is their crowning achievement, then, well, aw, you know!

I agree with Dave on this, after all if they are so NOT committed to their own constitution and call the NAFTA the crown jewel, well that doesn\'t say much for committment to Canada. I\'d rather they stayed where we can see them, identifiable and not infiltrate something that will attempt to save this country from the likes of them, the liberals and alliance(which I always wondered means, allied to what? or Who?!).
