So I guess the idea that the New World Order was just a conspiracy theory can be put to bed. The first time it was used publicly was Bush Sr. but they quickly changed it to globalization instead. More palatable! The website address is www.americaspolicy.org and the title, A New World of Analysis, Ideas, and Policy Options.
And this is what goes for democracy these days ? Who gave them the right to make survival decisions for 350 million people ?
So now, what do our political experts say on this ? Is this a good "rightist", wealth creating move ?

I've seen a lot of bankrupt businesses taken over by successful ones, but never seen bankrupt economies taking over healthy ones. What a brilliant idea on the part of our politicians. Ed Deak, Big Lake, BC.

A DOZEN REASONS NOT TO WORRY AND WHY THEY WON’T HOLD WATER
The following are the most frequently cited reasons why Canadians shouldn’t worry about our water
resources, and why these explanations, quite literally, don’t hold water.
T o date, the majority of public discussion has focused on “exports” – but as the very first myth explains,
the problems go well beyond exports. Under NAFTA, American companies using water in Canada for
domestic purposes have superior rights than do Canadians.
Good post jensonj; I was just reading THE FOUNDATIONS OF CANADIAN FEDERALISM

This section in particular, 'The Intent of Confederation' but the entire article is worth a read: www.parl.gc.ca/information/library/PRBpubs/bp187-e.htm

A couple of interesting quotes which I think relate to where we are today; quote by Donald Creighton "They are confused and uncertain about the direction they should be taking, partly because they do not know whence they have come, or by what route, or with what aims and ideals as guides for the journey.Ignorance readily accepts myth and is vulnerable before propaganda." The education or lack thereof in this country has created this environment which makes the Trinational Elites capable of their plan.

Second quote; ' Thus, 'the percieved hostility of the United States as exemplified by the Trent Affair, the Alabama Claims, border incidents and New York editorialists promoting northern expansion, formed the backdrop for speeches which concentrated on defence policy, possible annexation to the United States, need for Canadian western development...with the expectation that the United States would aborgate its reciprocal trade agreement with the colonies, as it actually did in 1866, the provinces were presented with a strong economic motive for Confederation.....provinces would benefit from the resulting increase in trade and would no longer be dependent on the threatened U.S. market'

This information could be written today! But as the first quote suggests if you don't know history, you are threatened to repeat it.

---
If I stand for my country today...will my country be here to stand for me tomorrow?

What is confuses me is this. The Christian right have been flocking behind the Republican party, in hopes this party will help make policy based on religious scriptures. In the book "What god wants" the author quotes letters that were written to Bush after his re-election. It was shocking to read these letters.

Because the people who wrote the letters basically straight out told Bush "Liberals" are not his friends, and he owes them nothing. One letter said something like "keep religious values in mind when making policy". The letters that poured in from the religious right were just shocking. They honestly see this party as the savoir of Christianity. Even though there is many Christians out there, even authors who disagree with the Christian right.

Anyways the confusing part on the case of Christians. Is they honestly live life knowing and expecting the world to end, which explains the self destruction of supporting a self destructing party. (Self destructing as in destroying this earth). They also still believe in an anti-christ that will come, who will try to rule under one government.

O.k so how come these Christians who believe in this anti-christ don't see this new world order as exactly what they preach about themselves. I'm told that in the scriputres, If the scriptures are right. We will see a one world government, but the leader will come from Europe. That's if one believes this.
