Major Firms Look To China As Supplier

Within five years, more large North American companies will be buying goods and services from China than from Canada, Mexico or Europe, a new study predicts.

But it's not only China that is an increasingly important source of goods and services, according to the report, based on a survey of international procurement practices at 275 large companies by global consulting firm A.T. Kearney.

    This is nothing but North American and European firms cutting their own throats. The people who make the products buy the products, unless of course they are thrown out of work to take lesser paying jobs and can't afford to buy them anymore. Perhaps the owners and management of these businesses think that because they are making a lot of money that they will sustain their sales; however, they don't make up nearly enough of the population to support an economy alone.
