For all the talk of fresh beginnings, surprisingly little will change Saturday when the Conservative Party of Canada chooses its first leader at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
It's been barely 100 days since the Canadian Alliance and the Progressive Conservatives officially merged to form the new united-right party. In that time, they have "engaged in a historic effort to build a national government in waiting," or so the party's Web site claims.
Clearly, though, their building work has only just begun.
