The major parties scrambled to file nomination papers for candidates in all 308 electoral districts before the deadline at 2 p.m. yesterday.
The Conservatives were furthest behind, showing only 294 names for 308 electoral districts on an Elections Canada list of candidates whose nominations had been approved as of 2 p.m.

Unfortunately it appears the CAP fell one short of the old marker of 50. Let us hope they do not rewrite the elections laws once again.
