A fellow that does some occassional writing for us lives in that particular riding and he says its a regular dogs lunch. Seems Copps has some supporters there and they are not going to go down quietly.

In hurtig\'s Vanishing COuntry, he points to some pretty airhead things she siad, for a woman who wants to be PM. You know \"Free-trade has been great for Canada,....\"
But you\'re both forgetting that while not perfect for sure (what politician is) she\'s still left of Martin, and more nationalistic to boot (eg actually cares a bit about Canadian culture) and without that sort of voice in the government--ie SOME Liberal dissent--it\'ll be left COMPLETELY to Martin and crew.
