It's about time... I hope this gets conducted with truly good intentions and not some sort of public appeasement in mind. I say this because the specific wording of this type of agreement is so crucial. *crosses fingers*

After hearing what Hurtig recently said about Bill Graham, Graham is not one to do this.

I do believe he is less stupid than he appears, but ther is still no excuse for his waffling on this issue. He needn't appease anyone on this one.

I believe citizens should organize a massive protest in Ottawa , and invite the world if this latest effort fails.

P.S. - Isn't there already an ABM treaty the U.S. is breaking? Why would they pay any more attention to a new treaty, anyway?!

This clever move by the Liberals will hurt the NDP.

I agree anon, especially when the NDP keeps on using it as its election issue to gain votes. The NDP should be in my opinion pointing out the sovereignty issue, explain to Canadians the close integration that the Liberal's and Conservatives are working towards.

This should be what the NDP works on as a election issue.

Yes we know that the U.S. only follows the rules when they fit their agenda, so even if the U.N agrees with Canada about not weaponizing space, so what...except that it could placate Canadians into believing the missile defence is ok, so when they go ahead with their already decided plan, we won't jump up and down screaming...it's a ploy I beleive a little smoke and mirrors.
