Ruling Against Part Of PATRIOT Act

U.S. District Judge Victor Marreo ruled in favor of the American Civil Liberties Union, which challenged the power the FBI has to demand confidential financial records from companies as part of terrorism investigations. http://abcnews.go.com/wire/US/reuters20040929_295.html Hope for our Medical records yet!!

    Well, even if Canadian politicians (*cough* *cough* Stephen Harper & co., Paul Martin & part of co. *cough* *cough*) are too corrupt to speak up for the Canadian populace, there are still some decent judges in the US to save our hides.

    The American system of checks and balances does seem to work a lot better than ours, we could learn a thing or two from them, it would strengthen our country.

    Except in the last go-round on the Pine Ridge Reservation. All the judges were appointed by the current Tribal administration, the President who osted Charles Yow.
