The Movement

We stand for moderation, for balance. Our cornerstones are "Community Capitalism" and the "Inclusive Community." Everyone benefits; everyone receives a living wage; everyone is honoured as a human being. We believe this is well within our grasp to achieve.

COMMON VISION

The Moderate Democratic Movement will provide the voice and the political structure for realistic, balanced social change.

HEALTH CARE

Preventative Medicine - "The Cost of Disease," "Caring for Health," "Profitable Insurance."

ENVIRONMENT

One Ecosystem -"Natural," "Putting the Globe Back in Globilization."

All citizens matter

* Community-based economics
* Unity through diversity
* Maximize human potential
* Balance is fundamental to all

For too long has British Columbia been divided by extreme ideologies. It is time for healing. For British Columbia to attain its rightful place as one of the greatest regions of the world, we need to enter into an era of peace, harmony, prosperity and good government. We will realize the Canadian dream.

MDM Membership/Contributions

We are all in this together; we are all needed and valued. All members have the same rights and privileges. All contributors are equally necessary and important.

We are also unique; each and every one of us is different. So, be what you can be. If being generous is possible, then please be generous. Come join with us to develop and spread the vision. Turning me to we is not only essential, it is natural.

Come join us to celebrate human uniqueness. Come join us tp celebrate life.

    this thing about \'living wage\' ok then, what will the money look like?

    same old, same old... vive le ripoff

    \"Give me control of a nation\'s money and I care not who makes the laws\" Mayer Amschel Bauer (Rothschild)

    commie statists, or fabian socialists, pick your poison. Just a different road to the same destination. In Canada, they\'re called NDP, CAP, Liberal or Progressive Conservative. Folks, we don\'t need this party or that party, we need an end to usury.... we need an end to the banking monopoly... the problem, vive le boneheads, is right out the door and down a-way\'s, on main street.

    This has nothing to do with the topic, sorry, but there was no other place to put it. Belinda Stronach's 'Other' blog. http://stronach.blogspot.com

    Why do you say CAP along with those, anon? They WANT to chage the money system...?

    I\'d hardly call B.C. politics the choice between 2 extremes. The Liberals/PC\'s are extremem, but the NDP was fairly wishy-washy, middle-of-the-road.

    My answer to anon \'way up there in the clouds, do you consider a living wage so people can eat and pay the rent as a waste of money ? What is your alternative ?

    It\'s easy to criticise if you are one of those that say \"I\'m OK Jack\".

    Get off your high horse and smell the coffee !!

    The second half of your comment has the right idea, it just comes across the wrong way.

    Enough with this \"Vive le Ripoff\" crap !!

    I pretty much disregarded the whole message after it referred to us as 'Vive Le Boneheads'.
You see my former troll friend! This is a classic troll! It doesn't believe what it writes, and only writes things it feels the readership will react negatively to. It only offers negativity, without reciprocating with creativity. All you have to do is spend some time on K5, Hulver or Fark to recognize it immediately.
Shoo Troll!     Right, doc.....heh.

    Oh yeah, I\'m not sure if this is the troll who believes in the Jewish-American conspiracy theories, but it could be. I personally only posted on topic before I signed up, but I do remember someone who comically pointed out some partial-truths. Maybe this is the guy.

    While listening to Paul Martin last night on Ask Paul, he closed the door on smaller parties because he is totally against minority governments. Small parties will never get to the mainstream under our present system.

    Forming all these new parties will not fly until we change the electoral system, and if the provinces see minority governments in their future, I think they will hold back as well.

    Politicians don\'t like minority governments, but they can be very productive, simply because the different parties have to work together.

    What we really need is a flexible way to merge the smaller parties prior to an election, thereby forming a larger block to challenge the status quo. This would not be an easy task, but the parties concerned would have to be ready to call emergency strategy meetings, emergency conventions for instant rule changes, etc.

    Rules are there for a reason, but there should always be a back door so the rules can be altered immediately for extreme purposes.

    Without that flexibility and quick response, we will always have the mainstream parties calling the shots.

    It\'s all about control and keeping power.

    If you were Paul Martin, would you do it any other way ??

    That\'s the system that got him there.

    Great insight. Which makes the NDP\'s nonsense all the more pathetic.

    no kidding! absolutely nothing from this \'new\' party about financial reform. OK, sure, it\'s a Provincial party and they can\'t step on the BOC hands, nevertheless, this party does not offer any type of long lasting alternative to the corrupt usuary system now in place. Who here has a credit card balance? What\'s the interest rate? 18%? This is criminal. We have criminals running the aslyum. We are slaves. oh well, back to my television.

    hehh.

    I have never been in credit card debt. I have never made more than $30K a year.

    My house is paid for. My wife never worked.

    I watch some programs on TV that show people with 9 credit cards maxxed out, and they wonder why they can\'t catch up.

    Credit card debt is simply a dumb idea. If I use mine, I pay off the balance next month.

    I don\'t have a new SUV, a wide screen TV, or many things I would love to have.

    Spending restraint is a fine art, and my wife and I have done OK.

    Personal debt in Canada at present is $1 Trillion, the Feds owe $500 Billion, and the provinces owe about $400 Billion.

    We as a country are in debt to the tune of almost $2 Trillion.

    How did that happen ??

    We all know the answer.
