I love Mel Hurtig! I wish he was our prime minister!! He would put an end to this stupidity.

I totally agree, Mel for PM. He has his heart and his mind in the right place. As for what is happening now in Canada, just look at Mexico. The fascists have got to put their plan in place without any opposition raising a ruckus. The idea is that once you find out, it's too late.

I can’t believe that Rumsfeld has been in town for the past few days and I didn’t know until tonight. I am disgusted that a war criminal is allowed in my community and even more disgusted at the fact that no media other than this site has mentioned it. I spoke to scores of people in town tonight and all except one were unaware of Rumsfeld’s presence.

I emailed about a dozen local and national media a day and a half ago telling them of this. I got one response from the editor of a local weekly. A reporter called me today from that papper and they are running a story on it this week but he said he's unable to get any official details of any kind. The Banff Springs Hotel says that all of its media relations people are on vacation. He did say that he has some unofficial confermation though.

Rumsfeld's cold black heart brought a huge snowstorm to Banff. CBC had crews filming the snowstorm and showed it on "The Nationlal"

Thank you to Mel Hurtig and vivelecanada.ca for being the only one to get this story out. I feel compeled to donate to this site and you deserve an award for being the only one reporting during this enormous meida failure.

I just got confirmation from Banff Springs Hotel staff that Harper was at the conference as well.

The Banff Craig and canyon finally did a story on this. Now that they have published it, I am getting some calls from other media I have contacted. I have talked to several people workers at the hotel who say Stephen Harper was there. If in fact he was here and his office denied it, this could be one of the biggest political scandals of our time. The big problem is that none of the media is willing to expend the resourses to send a reporter here to interview staff and maybe offer them some compensation for risking their jobs over talking. The Craig and Canyon doesn't have this week's issue on the internet yet but I suspect it should be up soon. They were able to get a few more details. <b>There will be a protest at the Banff Springs Hotel on the the sidewalk of Spray ave. Monday, September 25 at 3pm. This protest must be peaceful. We are protesting the Banff Springs Hotel's invlovement in this conspiracy against Canadian, American and Mexican citizens. For more info, email banffprotest@yahoo.ca

Well done Banff-o-rama! See if you can organize something similar in Calgary and Edmonton. No offense, but a protest at BSH won't be carried by the media unless it gets nasty.
