Youth Delegates Dragged From Convention Centre

"I was a little bit hesitant, I didn't know what to do, 'cause I got a little bit scared, but she said she wasn't going to move at all, and so I decided to stay with them."

Lozano says she was then dragged out of the convention centre by her hair. "They started pulling us, they pulled my hair, they pulled a lot of hair of me."

rearguard writes: This is what the UN really looks like - all of that world-peace talk is just for show. If you want more of the same, keep on listening to the fear-mongering MSM. Keep on agreeing with the fake terrorist stories and baseless arrests. Keep on being so afraid that you'll end up turning to an unaccountable government for more "protection". When your ability to defend yourself is handed over to the state, that's when you should become really afraid. Stop thinking ass-backwards before it's too late!

"Nevertheless, he says the UN is taking the incident seriously and will prepare a report. "

Well, there we have it. Our freedoms will be put in a report. When the US attacked Iraq, I waited to see just what the UN and NATO would do about it. What would these organizations do when their rouge member would defy all that they stood for. Freedom and democracy is no longer a world issue. It's interpretation has gone by the wayside and evident in this incident, to not be on the agenda of "the power".

They (the UN) took it seriously alright. They considered any protest against them as a threat and will write a report as to how publicity of their reaction can be prevented. Members only will be privy to the report. Security will be dragged over the coals for not keeping their actions under wraps. Nothing more will become of it.

The U.N. is all in favor of freedom of speech, but only as long as you don't disagree with them.

War is what keeps the U.N. in business, plain and simple.

If world peace ever did happen, these guys would be unemployed and without purpose.

So much for the Canadian Bill of rights and freedoms.

Who stands and protects them in Canada now?

    Surly not those we elect.

    Yes, just like the U.N.

Can beat the hell out of young girls with t-shirts, but stands by helplessly and watches while Serb militia or Rawandian police rape and chop people up.

I recall when the UN was ridiculed by the American people for not backing them up in Iraq . The UN was called gutless and worthless. Meanwhile Bush had appointed his own man to the UN. The Americans sat at the table with a list of amendments that would totaly change the UN from it's former self. Now the US announced they would pay the long overdue membership fees. One may wonder how many of those amendments were passed before the dues were paid. Some may wonder who the UN realy is.

The UN is really made up out of the permanent members who sit on the security council and have veto power, these elites are accountable to no one, and therefore should not be respected or recognized as legitimate by the people they want to rule over. The rest of the UN has no real power, and is used as feel-good window dressing.
