Geoff Whitlock has agreed to help coordinate volunteers who will try to get a crowd out. You can reach Geoff at geoff@capturelife.ca or (416) 841-6112. Needless to say, I would be most grateful for any help you can give him so it would be great if you could call him and of course let as many people as possible know about the talk.
While there is a chance that the hall costs will be covered, we will need help putting up posters on campus and otherwise publicizing the event. Some of you have already volunteered help. but it would be great if you could contact Geoff directly.
As for the Arts and Letters Club dinner the night before, they have written to Kevin Peck that their capacity is only 100 and they are reasonably certain to fill it.
By the way, although I have to finish my new book by the end of this month, McClelland and Stewart won't likely be able to publish until May. My goal is to try to get it out before the election which will almost certainly be mid-May, although the book will be most relevant for many months or years after the election. This book will certainly be one of the most important I have written, if not THE most important, with profound implications for the future of our country.
I think you will be able to agree with me after my talk that the Martin government's position on Bush's Star Wars is very, very scary.

I guess I\'ll just have to wait until the vivelecanada get together in the spring, where hopefully Mel Hurtig will be there.
