"On cbc Cellucci was quoted as saying that this was his own personal views, not those of President Bush. I find it funny that he would make himself clear that these are not Bush's views. Personally I think that it is Bush's and his admin's views. Its all part of their take over of Canada. Small steps at a time will lead to total integration. Cellucci I believe sees the same vision for Canada, as the vision which shaped the European Union.--Kevin"

OTTAWA -- U.S. Ambassador Paul Cellucci wants shoppers in Canada and the U.S. to be able to buy whatever they like in each other's country without filling out cumbersome customs forms and paying duties.

"As long as it's reciprocal -- that's a personal view. I'm not offering the view of the U.S. government here, but I'm saying these are some of the issues that we need to talk about because Canada has a lot of visitors that go to the U.S. We have a lot of visitors that come here. It probably balances out over the long run," Cellucci told CanWest News in an exclusive interview.

First I'd like to say "good riddance Cellucci and I hope the border crossing hits you damn good and hard on the way out".

Canada and the USA are nothing like the EU. Canada is like the EU and the USA is like the EU. Canada + USA = USA. The provinces of Canada can in some cases be the size of three European countries put together so if we would just unify we'd be like the EU. We're half way there in that we have the same currency. Now, lets get our trade working for us east, west and north, south and then start doing some foreign exports/imports.

And yes, Cellicci if we were like a union and could just move back and forth easily when are you going to mention the micro chip we'll all be implanted with in order for us to do that? My thinking is that the border stores must be feeling the "shop Canadian" pinch or they would not be pushing for this so strongly.
