The U.S. claimed he was linked with al-Qaeda, but Syria said it could not confirm those allegations. The House of Commons foreign affairs committee wants to ask Cellucci why the U.S. arrested and deported Arar. It also wants to know why, when asked about the Arar case last April, Cellucci said Canadians who wanted to know why the U.S. deported Arar to Syria, should ask the RCMP.

- by AnonymousSun Oct 12, 2003 4:23 amHe probably can\'t answer, cause the secrecy surrounding every decision in the U.S. these days is about 300 people deep. Nobody knows so nobody can say anything. This is the most disgusting violation of civil rights we have ever been witness to in the \'free\' world and it isn\'t going to get any better. Cellucci is only a mouthpiece for Washington and has yet to say anything of any substance, so why would we expect it now??
