Foreign-controlled revenues grew 3.8 per cent to $743 billion in 2003, representing 29.6 per cent of corporate revenues. Foreign control, when measured by operating revenue, has hovered around the 30 per cent mark since 1995.
The agency says the U.S. share of foreign control appears to have peaked. The U.S accounted for almost two-thirds of the assets and revenues generated by foreign-controlled corporations active in Canada in 2003.
