Canada As A US Security Concern

Posted on Monday, June 05 at 10:38 by Anonymous
"We've got thousands of trucks that come in every day many of them, most of them not inspected -- and particularly, by the way, garbage trucks from Ontario which cannot be inspected -- represent a real, significant security threat," Levin said. "We worry very much about a huge amount of commerce coming across a bridge and a tunnel in Detroit, a bridge in Port Huron. It's the major source of entry of commerce to the United States," he said. Speaking on the same program, US Senator George Allen said a disproportionate amount of concern had been directed to security concern on the US-Mexico border. http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=1033453 [Proofreader's note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on June 7, 2006]

If the US is so scared of the terrorists, why don't they close the border and end trade with Canada?

If they want to build a new "Berlin Wall", I'll go halfers on the bricks.

Well, we haven't had another SARS scare, and no recent BSE cases... the Softwood Lumber issue is slowly being resolved (if you want to call it that) ... so these ppl need something.

We are forever going to be reprimanded for not going to Iraq.

The Americans have forgotten to search the most common places an attack may come from. Under the bed, behind the curtain and of course, from the bedroom closet. In reality it has nothing to do with security but for control. Bush has very little time to insure that he and his cronies have complete contol of the American people/country.

You'd think Americans would be more assured since our government actually knew about these people long before they got anywhere near any buildings with a bomb, nevermind a plane. Maybe Americans should start seriously questioning why George Bush gutted the bulk of their safeguards against terrorist attacks and then ignored obvious warnings that resulted from what was left of it. Wake up America, George Bush is your biggest security concern, as Harper is ours!!!!
