Instead of watching one of those sad movies because you really need a good cry...read this!!!!

Although that site may be pointing out a real concern with oil supply, which I understand is for real. I must say IMO what this guy is saying will happen when we run out of oil, is more just his own personal theory and not fact.

So to be honest that site needs allot more then just names and moderator of yahoo egroups to support what he is saying, before I will take his theory serious.

I would like to also point out that I didn\'t see much information to support his theory that \"alternative energy sources are just a myth\" He claims there is no alternative, accept no more oil and millions die.

    kevin,
if you really read it he has his answer for the reaction you are going through right now, bottom line is, there is now a time table of impending doom coming, your children\'s future and everyone else\' children future are doomed, the only children that will make it will be those of the rich and elite, with huge staches of money socked away, sounds crazy and harsh, but will be a fact, if you want to be a ostrich, fine be one, this info is not to there to convince you,it is there because it is a fact, do your homework, research, it\'s out there the answers.
This explains why the high level of government scandals, and business corruption, and wars, are happening, because cheap oil is gone. The rich elite knew this was coming and they are now panicing, they are stock piling right now, ask this question, \" why is this not out in the main stream media \" answer, \" because you will have panic \" they claim there are too many people on this planet, guess what, they have plans to eliminate a good portion of the population, think that is crazy, watch, look around you, watch what government is doing, you will start noticing some strange movements going on here and there, you will start seeing strange news clips, prices will start going up of product and services, until you won\'t be able to afford it any more,in a short period of time, it is here now.

So what is the solution, first you must accept this and prepare emotionally, then the shockwave will be easier to handle. Next when it arrives, somehow with your new outlook on life you will be where you will be, can\'t explain it but watch, for those who refuse this, these will be the ones panicing and going nuts with desperation. Sounds like the end of the world, you bet, it will be the end for a lot of people, it has started for a lot of middle eastern people already in the middle east, sad to say, yet you got the info do what you want with it, and good luck, and hope all fairs well for you.

I agree this is a very disturbing article, but I also think we can not lose by being cautious...what could it hurt to be prepared, to put pressure on our politicians to take serious steps towards alternative solutions and for people to be wiser in their consumption...another thing about this that is upsetting, I remember hearing about a vehicle created many many years ago, which consumed little or no gas, apparently(I can\'t remember all the details) but the guy who developed it was paid to not make it, and forget about the invention.

How many of these solutions were destroyed in order to feed the greedy oil machine? So this brings me to believe that their may well be solutions out there, just that they are not being allowed to develop, if we the people, push for alternatives, maybe these solutions will come forward??

Personally, I think that we, as a nation, should start by cutting off the sale of our oil and gas to any other country. That may well bring the US military to our front doors, but we have to keep what we have. The free trade agreements have to go !

The smart ones will now begin to see that solar panels, expensive as they are, will be a good thing down the road.

The rest, such as wind power, will take longer to get up and running, but they will be a good asset down the road.

We are now in a situation that we have never been in for centuries, we have to do all the work for ourselves, and invest in the family and our homes. It is not a huge task to make our homes weatherproof, but feeding ourselves is going to become a problem.

The ultimate solution is to move to a climate that will support our food supply as well as our housing, and, yes, we will have a major loss of life when that happens.

We are overpopulated now, and we can\'t allow more people on this planet, so we will see a lot of misery in the next 50 years.

I won\'t be here to see it, but think ahead: it\'s coming !!

For those younger than I, get ready for it. Think ahead !

This article isn`t far fetched at all. World consumption is outstripping extraction and production. And he`s not saying that we`ll run out of oil altogether, he`s saying that we`re going to run out of cheap, affordable oil. Prices will skyrocket, and every other product on the planet will be affected, because it takes oil and gas to create and transport pretty much all products. It takes oil and gas to produce electricity. It takes petroleum related products to make all kinds of things that are related to food and other necessities. We should have been preparing for this decades ago but humans and their leaders have been too complacent for too long. Fuel cells offer some hope, but it is still such a new technology that it all by itself can`t compensate for diminishing oil reserves in the immediate future. Other technologies such as nuclear are very costly. Nope, oil and gas have been easy, cheap, and now, we face a crossroads. But the USA has planned for it in a sense that they`re just going to go out and take whatever oil is out there on the planet and control it. Trudeau had the foresight to wrestle control of Canadian oil reserves from American ownership with the NEP, but mulroney sold us down the river. It does seem as though one better be rich when the big crash happens, because everything else, because it`s so tied to oil, is going to skyrocket in price!

Yeah. I\'d rather be rich, but even the rich will have a hard time getting used to deprivation. (At least in their book.)

Jim, you are crazy. If trade is not allowed to cross borders, armies will. examine Iraq: Iraq has got plenty of the most important commodity in the world: OIL. In order to steal the oil (vs trading for it), the AmeroIsraelis first had to make Iraq weak. They supply Saddam with weapons to invade Iran. After 8 years of war, Iraq is down, but not out. Next the AmeroIsreali fascists allow Iraq to invade Kuwait, falsely, setting the stage to get their proxy state, The USA, to attack Iraq and be further destabalized. Next up the ameroisraeli\'s UN manipulators IMPOSE TRADE SANCTIONS, perpetrate the fraud of weapons of mass destruction, and then, once again, get their proxy state, the USA, to invade Iraq on the pretext of the false enemy AlQeada, and false claim of WMD.

I know about armies, we have the largest force on the planet right beside us.

My point is if we do nothing they will take it.

If we try to protect it, it\'ll just make it slightly harder for them to take it.

Do we have a choice ?? Can you imagine the world-wide reaction if they were to be stupid enough to invade us ?

    I wonder.

Jim\'s not crazy, or not any crazier than the rest of us, who are concerned about the reality looking us square in the face! I also wonder what the world would do, probably much the same as the world did in Iraq,...sit on their hands, say no publicly, and then assist through the back door, any where a quick buck is to be made for the military companies, there in!!!!

Thomas Hobbes saw the writing on the wall a long time ago. he said, paraphrased: What is desired is taken by force or by fraud. Fraud is all that is needed to rip off Canada.

Since we share the same language with the NewYorkers it\'s been relatively easy for Canada to be duped by the Ameroisraeli mass marketing, hollywood, and network disinformation machine. On the other hand, NewYorkers have had a tough time whitewashing issues with Quebec. I guess the propaganda doesn\'t translate very well.

People at this site often cry out for solutions. One idea is an old one, and that is our policy of two official languages. If you have a young child, and he/she is growing up in a english only household it would be wise to consider French immersion.

Well, at least they would officially have no credibility anymore.....and I don\'t agree with Hobbes on much. Canadians are morally above that, for the most part.

  13. Mon Feb 16, 2004 4:16 am
I agree they\'d lose all credibility. The world would hesistate, and probably do nothing, other than pressure politically. They\'d be prone to the anthropologists\' point about people not intervening, simply watching, expecting someone else to do something.

I do think this would be very interesting. We may as well fight. If bolivia can reclaim control over their water, we may as well try.

If you are wondering, the US already thinks it owns us.

I saw a comment on the news last night that, once again, the US government is calling Canada a terrorist haven, our immigration laws are too lax, our welfare system for refugees is too generous, and simply promotes more refugees to come to Canada.

I get angry when I see we have immigrants that have broken the law, been deported several times, and keep coming back.

Those are the ones you throw in jail !! They will just keep coming back and breaking our laws.

However, I wouldn\'t be surprised to see US troops on our soil in my lifetime.

    Makes my day.
