Census Poem

From governmental prying And statistician's threats. The aged knight was swiftly seized And into prison swept. Oh Canada's so safe now. The contagion's been contained. Big Brother needs his answers. And order was maintained. But from the prison comes the news The knight's still saying, "No! I won't tell them if I'm Chinese Or born in Morocco." They say they hear him chanting, "They'll never make me tell If I'm a Catholic or a Buddhist. StatsCan can go to hell!"
