With this funding, the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania will be able to provide knowledge on poverty issues and good governance to the people of Tanzania. This will be done through the development of curricula, programming and resource development to train students, staff and organizations on how to involve their communities in poverty reduction.
The Government of Canada is funding this project through the Canadian International Development Agency under the University Partnerships in Cooperation and Development Program (UPCD), administered by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada.
