I really have trouble understanding how any intelligent person could be taken in by this kind of ruse. Secret trials are not trials. They are persecution not prosecution

Before the internet, these sorts of ravings were found on sandwich board signs worn by men in beards and robes or shouted to audiences of pigeons in the downtown. The development of psychotropic drugs has eased the situation somewhat.

Then debunk what people say instead of just saying it's all conspiracy. Provide facts and sources for your argument. Then maybe your side, which is apparenlty the 'sane' side, will provail Jerry Jay.

Secret trials are a bad thing generally of course. But, public trials and disclosure give lots of information to terrorists that intend to harm Canadians. A public trial is like an intelligence gathering exercise for terrorist groups - they find out where they have been compromised, kill the informers, and adjust tactics accordingly. If terrorists get convicted in secret, they should get a new public trial after the original information has become too stale to be of any value.

Why bother? Jerry Jay and Darvin are trolls. They don't want to discuss anything. They don't want to prove a point. They just want people to get angry at them.

They have no intention of proving their point, they only spew the same old tired diatribe other internet posters came up with long before them. They couldn't prove what they say if they tried. As they are so fond of pointing at others and saying; it's just their opinion. When confronted with facts, they retreat and ignore your response.

Grow some thicker skin, ignore them, and they'll go away.

If the terrorists are as organized as you say, any information brought up during the trial would already be old news to them. A public trial would inform the public on how these people operate and give them the information to see such things in the future.

Public trials are for the public to determine the effectiveness of the judicial system. With a closed trial, the system can be abused.

Yes, I know, I know...I am just trying to have some counter points, so that maybe some 'joe' who surfed onto the site from google news won't be reading an article and saying, "oh yeah this is just liberal garbage, Jerry Jay is right, these people are nuts."

It's hard to let these comments stand without some sort of rebuttal. I am new to the 'internet world of politics,' the idea that people surf sites like Vive to throw jabs against anything that's not 'right-winged' still seems far fetched, although I do not deny that it is happening, because I see it in every article posted.

I tend to think want Dr. Caleb says is right and many times I have some retort all written out and thank God sanity does in those many instances keep me from hitting "submit". But I also do understand your point and it is a very good one. If you can do the kind of pointing out you do do it is worth it. My response would not be the best point out material. Keep it up if you can, however, I believe there will come a day when Dr. Caleb's comment will start making sense. And honestly, these yellabys are having a one way conversation already. Rather than you ignoring them, they're ignoring you. They don't want a reply unless it's angry so why bother?
