U.S. Signs Open Skies Aviation Agreement With Canada

Posted on Tuesday, March 13 at 09:29 by Anonymous
This agreement significantly modernizes U.S.-Canadian aviation relations by allowing airlines to make commercial decisions with minimal government intervention. It builds upon the 1995 trans-border Open Skies agreement to provide for open routes to third countries, market-based pricing, open routes for cargo flights, and a liberal charter regime. Next will be "open highways" where they'll allow U.S. trucking companies to "interstate" in Canada and vice versa. That and the passport issue together gives me more reason to worry about the future.

Wraun ... have a look at the article (above) about the NAFTA SuperHighway.
