Posted on Tuesday, July 31 at 09:44 by Janet M Eaton
July 30, 2007 No. A/44 - Modification (acronym of Accreditation Office) MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR THE MONTEBELLO NORTH AMERICAN LEADERSī SUMMIT As announced by Prime Minister Stephen Harper on June 15, 2007, Canada will host the third North American Leadersī Summit in Montebello, Quebec, on August 20 and 21, 2007. Media representatives who wish to cover the event should apply now for official accreditation for access to the site and media work centres. For accreditation, media representatives must complete the Media Accreditation Form and return it to the North American Leadersī Summit Accreditation Office no later than August 13, 2007. Earlier submissions will provide the best chance of ensuring that screening will be completed prior to the event. The form can be sent by mail or courier, or be hand-delivered; it must have a recent passport-sized photo attached, with the individualīs name clearly printed on the back. Submitted accreditation forms must be accompanied by a signed letter from the media organization stating that the applicant has been assigned specifically to cover this Summit. The letter must include contact information for the media organization. Media organizations or individuals may check on the status of their applications for accreditation by contacting the Summit Accreditation Office. As access to the site is limited, media outlets will be pooled. More information on the pooling process will be available later. The Summit will provide an opportunity for the leaders of Canada, Mexico and the United States to discuss key bilateral, North American and global issues. Spammed the relevant info to media reps who plan to attend. They don't offer a big window of opportunity to process registration, do they?
