Ancient Forests Are Being Clearcut To Make Kleenex

Posted on Tuesday, December 07 at 10:53 by Richard_B
Please help us convince Kimberly-Clark to stop destroying ancient and endangered forests and to start using more recycled fibre in their products. Greenpeace and allies have launched a new US/Canada campaign against Kimberly-Clark and we need your help.

You can take action at the Kleercut Action Center.

Several years ago a dude in the praries, came up with a way of using 80%to 90% straw in paper manufacture.

cbc archives will have the story.

Why do you not support him and his invention / innovation?

Kimberly Clark should talk to him, as straw is less expensive than wood.

Canadians are asking, why do americans hate us? They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to disagree with each other.

Contact the CBC archives or GreenPeace Toronto, they refused to support the dude due to the 10% wood used in manufacturing the paper.

Why do the Americans hate us?

Mass media missinformation! Please remember that after 911
Stockwell day was all over the USA televisions screaching about the "Canadian Connection".
Which is the basis for the average Americans belief that the 911 terrorists came from Canada.

The straw connection sounds very interesting. A similar
idea was the use of industrial hemp fibre. Apparently
before using wood fibre, hemp was the material used
    for making paper.
I cannot tell you where I first read this, it was a while
back. But it also said that hemp paper did not b ecome
brittle with age, so the books lasted longer.

And of course straw and hemp grow faster. We all know
about the benefit of trees for climate and oxygen
    balancing.

All this makes hemp and straw sound like winners.
