Perhaps they can buy the media, the pollsters, and the voting system but there are too many people on their guards this time around. The comments on the article are also most interesting. So please be more precise too next time your are ranting against these Americans. Canadian sovereinty IMHO is about building bridges with the appropriate people. Gaulois, I don`t think people here have any problems uniting with any people who defend freedom, and social and economic justice, be they Americans, Namibians, or Martians. We want America to have freedom, democracy, and social and economic justice just as much as we want it for our own country. But nations, cultures, countries, and borders still matter. And while countries should co-operate, countries must also be autonomous enough to forge their own policies. We surely don`t need in Canada corporations, or Frazer Institutes, or Paul Cellucci`s, or the IMF or WTO coming here telling us we better do this and that or else. But I surely don`t mind the American Ralph Nader coming here warning Canadians about corporate control over universities. Think back to the enormous pressure put on the Trudeau government by the Reagan administration over the National Energy policy. The NEP was none of Washington`s business!

You're all for Americans coming here and lecturing us if they're the right political flavour, or should I say flavor?

OOOH! Ouch! The 'flavor' part hurt. Actually, i am not against anyone from anywhere coming to Canada with good and friendly intentions. But anyone, including mentally colonized Canadians, who want to destroy our country, can simply go away and leave us alone. Now, just don`t bring out the heavy artillery and say 'ZEE'.
