Why am I running for politics?

When I was still a second-year business school student in Tunisia, I wanted to live in a country where I could feel the respect of others and where I could always be intellectually challenged. In 1991, after finishing my bachelor's degree, I came to Canada and started a new life.

Wow... and I was worried that she wasn't much more than an opportunist. She seems so much more convincing than many of the Politicians I know. I think Monia would have my vote. Anyone know who she's up against for nomination and for the subsequent election?

    Kory,

I do know she's running in Ottawa South and all of the party candidates are new to the riding election. The only person I do know she's up against is the Ontario Permier Dalton McGuinty's brother.

That's cool! She obviously doesn't agree with the corporate media because they seem to be playing this down a lot. (well I haven't heard much about this anyway) That's good for us. I would have thought that Maher Arar's wife would be in the news more.

This is great! I'd vote for her. She is also challenging the stereotype of Muslim women being submissive and not in public. Too bad the riding she is running in is almost sure not to vote NDP.

Yep! She speaks my language! She`d get my vote too!
