We might have opted out in theory, but we were behind the scenes and that is very wrong...but if we had Harper or Martin as PM we would have been in there like a dirty shirt!
I agree. I don't understand how Harper can expect to beat Paul Martin when if you compare the two. Paul Martin's popularity according to the polls show much higher then Harper. It also shows that the sponsorship scandal has effected mostly the Liberal party, yet Martin's popularity came down slightly. This popularity is what Harper is up against.
I personally think that Harper's support will only decrease once people across Canada start to hear him talk more. Everytime he speaks about how Canada should have supported the U.S led invasion. He say's we should have closer ties with the U.S. All of these types of things that Harper say's I believe over time will make him less popular.
The polls show's that the majority of Canadians believe that we were right in not going to war. It seems that the poll results shows a increase in the amount of people who think that we should have not went to war. YET, Mr.Harper seems to think "ALL BYHIMSELF" like some ego trip that Canada should have went to war with the U.S.
