Canada Will Not Take Part In A Major United Nations Conference On Racism Next Ye

Posted on Thursday, January 24 at 10:08 by N Say
"(We) had hoped that the preparatory process for the 2009 ... conference would remedy the mistakes of the past. Despite our efforts, we have concluded that it will not. Canada will therefore not participate," Foreign Minister Maxime Bernier said in a statement. Jason Kenney, the secretary of state for multiculturalism, said the Conservative government was sure the conference would "showcase the same regrettable anti-Semitism" as the 2001 meeting. "Our government sees no value in allowing Canada's participation to continue to dignify or legitimate such hateful and un-Canadian propaganda," he told Reuters. http://www.nationalpost.com/rss/story.html?id=258611

Excellent position it is great news to hear that our Foreign Policy stays in line and away from a lot of non sense going around these days by the Israel Haters.

I don't think is so much about Israel.

I remember Nigeria and some other African nation demanding the West compensate them for the slave trade at the first/only conference. The absurdity was astounding.

When that happens, you just walk away, and don't make sudden movements or eye contact.

This Canadian Government is a very strong supporter of Israel. The Canadian people, whose government no longer represents them, are not.

The whole world (except U.S. and Israel) rightly equaled Zionism with racism at the Durban conference in 2001. This fact was of course forgotten with the convenient 9/11 attacks a few days later.

People don't hate Zionists for who they are, but what they do.

Finally!! I'm happy to see that Canada is taking a stand against the U.N. who is supposed to represent a the whole world, but as become a racist entity. There have been more injustices with the U.N. ever since its creation and the world is not a better place. My wish is that Canada will pull out all toghether from this corrupt body! We are a sovreign nation and we do not need them telling us what to do. We can make decisions for ourselves!!!
