The Municipality of Papineauville is about six kilometres from Montebello and this peaceful event would have posed no threat whatsoever to the meetings taking place in Montebello. Your government’s decision to implement a security perimeter 25km around the Montebello summit is a disappointing attempt at silencing public debate on an issue where your government has failed to be transparent.
I urge you to reconsider your Government’s decision.

He'd have found a way for a vote of non-confidence and be demanding the summit be canceled immediately.

Meanwhile the NDP is sponsoring a petition to stop the SPP, and gathering signatures for that all summer, which you can get at left (featured action box) here on Vive. NDP MP Peter Julian is also one of the featured speakers at the big counter-SPP summit on August 19 being held by the Council of Canadians (he's part of the political panel)--wouldn't be surprised to see him marching, if not Jack et al as well.
