Fear And Loathing On The Campaign Trail 2004

Did you see Bush on TV, trying to debate? Jesus, he talked like a donkey with no brains at all. The tide turned early, in Coral Gables, when Bush went belly up less than halfway through his first bout with Kerry, who hammered poor George into jelly. It was pitiful...I almost felt sorry for him, until I heard someone call him "Mister President," and then I felt ashamed.

"There was a young man named Green
    Who invented a jack-off machine
    On the twenty-third stroke
    The damn thing broke
And churned his nuts into cream."

I can see dubya saying that. It's his style.

This is a good piece, and the part about the dubya gang assassinating Nader and blaming it on Kerry probably saved Nader's life.

It would be too obvious if they did it now.

Right on about the VP. Cheney runs the show, and everyone knows it.

Off topic, can anyone tell me where to find a dvd of "the Corporation?"

"treacherous little freak" I hadn't ever heard of those adjectives applied to G.W. I kinda forgot just how fun Hunter Thompson can be. The sad thing is that the world is abounding with treacherous little freaks. I personally know several of them.

It's good to see Thompson writing about politics again. His ESPN column often gets side-tracked into politics, but it is a sports column at heart.

He's got a pretty good record at predicting election campaigns too. Let's hope he's right this time. Let's hope he has another election book in him too.

not a HST fan. He's paraded out to dis a president long after it could have an impact. Everything gone wrong with America can be found in this unathletic person. The guy champions drug use and gambling as somehow virtuous. A shill for the bank and the cosa nostra/CIA crime families. Screw you Hunter, kindly watch yer Sunday afternoon idiot box without me.

Oh, I don't know about that. I have noticed in any forum the least little criticism of Bush brings out the Bush fan-club army, ready, willing and able to shoot down anyone who would critique their god fearing leader. Hunter has his drugs and gambling and Bush has his beer and pretzels. To attempt to bring morality into politics is preposterous, ludicrous. I think that's the point, at least in part.

I really enjoyed his resurecting Nixon as a choice of candidates in this year's election, and the comparison with Bush.

He hasn't been "paraded out." If you'd been paying attention, you would have noticed that he's been the dissing Bush regularly since before Bush took office.

Does Thompson have some bad habits? Yep. So what? At least he's honest about them.

Just because I think little of HST doesn't mean I support Bush, and btw Blair, he WAS paraded out, via RollingStone, at THIS PARTICULAR TIME, to affect the voting of RS reader demographic. And speaking of paying attention Reverend, why not take a look at this link and tell me what you think

"Here's possibly the truest account of Canadian Concentration Camps that comes to us from Pam Schuffert, a woman whom Lenny Bloom and the folks at Cloak & Dagger hold in high regard.

    http://www.americanholocaust.homestead. ... CdnCC.html

    An Excerpt:

"What he told me then was that there were already enough camps in Canada to house SIX MILLION people. Since you don't need a capacity of six million to kill a nation of 31 million, it stands to reason that a lot of Americans will also be coming here. Not by choice I'm sure. Of course, they were still in a very aggressive stage of production of
camps so there are likely many more today."

Hey Anonymous, I guess you missed the whole part regarding the what, 1100 plus concentration camps in America? If there are camps here, and frankly I wouldn't be surprised given the freaky US government you have and it's influence (read coersive powers) over Canada. Once Marshall Law is declared in the US, its possible that your government is shipping y'all up here to be held. Make certain that if this happens it will be against the will of the Canadian people. We tend to stay clear of bombing the shit out of other countries, world domination and massive suppression of human rights under the banner of 'God'. For your sake you better hope that dimwit Bush doesn't get elected again. For our sake you better hope he doesn't get elected again. We protest Bush far more then you Americans do. Maybe its all a part of the PNAC plan. Take over Canada and hold all dissidents in camps. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

hey buddy, just think, we'll get to know each other on the bad side of the barbed wire fence. So, what did you do to get in here? well, i said on the internet we've been lied to all our lives, and history is bunk, but really, it was a way of getting into one of those camps so i can agitate a few people into some material for my new annibel franklin hoax harddrive cd christmas sympathy album.

Just out of curiosity, given the technological advances made the past fifty years or so and the doubtless unimaginable powers held by our soon to be NWO (fourth dimensional) overlords, why are 1940 style concentration camps needed to house undesirables?

Surely the NWO could come up with something better, e.g., disintegration ray, time travel to wipe out undesirable's ancestors, etc., than this? I mean, geez...why not just pull the old police scam and have all the undesirables travel somewhere on the hopes of getting tickets to the final Rolling Stones concert, then neutron bomb both they and the Stones out of existence?

Our soon to be overlords seem a bit lacking in the imagination department.

Then again, I once had a friend, who knew a guy, who had a friend, who knew the girlfriend of a guy, who knew...well, guess you can see where I'm going with this.

Gotta go and work on my secret bunker...it's in my backyard...don't tell anyone.
