The Toronto Star is also reporting that their Liberals are doing really well when in fact they're not. Except for common sense, missile defence has so far had few advocates in Canada. However, Canada's sovereignty is at stake so Canada must sign on to defence agreements with our allies, especially when those agreements cover our own territory. The Liberals, despite the wishes of some MP's to remain anti-American at any cost to Canada, will have to address missile defence using common sense - the majority of Canadians understand that and will see why we have to sign on or become as irrelevant in North America as we are in the rest of the world.

Do you copy/paste that garbage or what? Only to those that hate Canada is Canada irrelevant in the world.

And did you EVEN read the article - like every other poll, Canadians are against missile defence, yet you say the majority is for it. you rightwingers just cannot either tell the truth, or admit your wrong.

Did you EVEN read the previous post? It doesn't say that the majority are for it now, only that they will be once the issue is taken away from the radicals who are scaremongering the public and using anti-Americanism as their tool.

He must only read the National pre(Post)erous where they make up their own poll results (they actually did this on this very question).

If only 'radicals' are against BMD, it only makes sense that only 'radicals' on the other end of the spectrum would be in favour of it. Everyone in the middle doesn't care either way. By labelling anyone with an opinion as a radical, you are marginalising them. Those with strong feeling about an issue are the only ones who matter; the majority doesn't give a crap so long as they still have a house and a job.

Taking the discussion 'away' from the radicals you don't agree with would do nothing more than silence dissent.

Canadians are asking, why do americans hate us? They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to disagree with each other.
