Military Cooperation With Israel

His diplomatically-worded suggestion that Canada should speak out about massive US arms shipments to Israel, was very appropriate. But Mr. Georgetti, and all of us, could have also looked closer to home, if we wanted to see a reduction of arms transfers to Israel. For Canada is involved in three or four or even five serious ways, in aiding and abetting the Israeli military: 1. Joint Military Exercises 2. Direct Military Sales to Israel 3. Sales of Military Components for which Israel is the End User 4. Investment of Gov’t Pension Funds in Companies Supplying Weapons to Israel 5. Tax Charitable Status for Donations to Israel. http://users.sgci.com/~peacenews/2006JulyAugPart2.html Many of the articles I've linked and summarized may not be new to vive readers - but to collect them in one place and see the depth of the pattern can give us a fresh sense of the seriousness of the problem. Am just now finishing Part 3 on the Boycott - Divestment - Sanctions movement against Israel's apartheid policies. It should be up Monday at: http://users.sgci.com/~peacenews/2006JulyAugPart3.html
