Dreaming

Posted on Wednesday, October 13 at 10:09 by Janis Schmidt
Earlier this year, I had the dream of the 7 coyotes. And it all came to pass. I was to be assaulted from 7 directions at the same time. And Vocu came down and shot all my dogs, the natural protectors. Just before they came to take me away, I discovered a rattlesnake right outside my door. This was a warning that the attack was eminent, and it would be deadly, and there would be no escaping it. All of this came to pass. These are the kinds of things that no official wants you to put in the report. So I will put it in a little report. DREAMING I had a most unusual dream. I was driving in the car on a highway out in the country. I stopped the car and got out and began walking up the hills. Gradually higher I went. Soon I was standing on top of a butte. As I stopped to look around, I noticed the hill sloping gradually down. Some grazing buffalo looked up at me and began coming my way. I looked South and down. Very steep and I saw the buffalo had raised their heads, looking at me, started to walk toward me. I was scared and looked down. Suddenly the cliff was covered with snow. I saw the buffalo coming. I began to slide down the snow. It was a long ways down and I had to adjust my course so I wouldn’t fly of the ledge at the bottom. Instead, I landed in a pile of nice, soft snow. Upon getting up, I heard a voice addressing me. I looked at the cliff, and inside a hole or cave was a huge rabbit. He pushed out a little bunny and I picked him up and cuddled him because he was so cute. Then the big rabbit spoke to me saying, “You shouldn’t be afraid of the buffalo. They wouldn’t hurt you. They only want to talk to you. I said, “But I can’t get back up the bank.” He said, “You could go around.” “Do you mean on those back hills?” “Exactly,” said the big rabbit and hopped back in his hole. I pushed down the wires to climb over the fence to start my long walk. But I didn’t know if I was going back to the car or around to the buffalo. And there was no one there to advise me. I woke up.

Janis, I love these stories. Dreams are part of us that few people wish to recognize, the internal speaking to us, to guide and warn. Too bad many of us have lost the will to listen to the inner voice.

Oh, yes, these altered states come for a reason. When i was ten, I dreamed of my future wife, and I didn`t even know her yet at this time! Then when I met her, it was like, wow! Another time, shortly after Pierre Trudeau died, I dreamed that I was standing in the doorway of the west block of parliament, and Pierre was talking to me, and I was going on and on about who will defend Canada now that he`s gone. And he hugged me and said," Oh, don`t worry. I promise it will all be O.K. in time. There`s just a short, dark period that we have to put up with for now." So I`m hoping my dream about P.E.T. comes true just like my dream about my wife!

I really liked your responses. I believe it is the Aborigines who use dreaming as another way to knowing.

Well it is said we only use about 5% of our brain, and some people use much less, but if our subconscious uses extra, it is probably in tune with other aspects of the universe. It would be good if we learned to listen to the knowing part of our brain. Everytime you get that baaad feeling, I think that is the part which ought to be listened to.

I know for a personal fact that it was the dreams and visions, and the occasional animal sightings who guided me through my horrific experience.

I believe! I`m not a first nations person, but, well, I won`t describe some of my experiences for sake of some calling me crazy. I`m not religious, but I do believe in those supernatural powers that transcend the universe, and of course, many of these powers we still don`t quite understand. But i also believe that Australian Aboriginees, North and South American First Nations, and Tibetans, to name just a few, were, and are, onto something!!

I think we are all first nations people, Dave.

Perhaps you`re right. But i`m not of the stock that originally inhabited this land.
