CUPE Demands Inquiry Into Police Duplicity At SPP Coference In Montebello

The whole issue is now in the national media and the Conservative government once again has been caught spitting in the eyes of all Canadians by using such tactics. A few questions come to mind. Why are members of a provincial police force obviously working as agents provocateurs? Who gave the order for this tactic and why was it given? Did the government secretly hope that there would be an ugly incident so as to discredit the protesters? Minister of Public Safety Stockwell Day looked like a deer caught in the headlights when he uttered the government’s feeble response, while of course defending the undercover policemen’s actions. The Canadian Union of Public Employees is demanding an independent, public inquiry into the actions of the Quebec Provincial Police. When are Canadians going to get a bit of respect from this government? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Parkinson http://realitycheck.typepad.com/
