(The War On) Pot Has Finally Made Me Crazy

Oh yeah, the "crazy" part? Well maybe I've been reading too much William Burroughs, but when I read about doctors being thrown in jail or having their licenses revoked for prescribing needed pain medication, and when I add to that the incalculable suffering visited on our fellow citizens ( and this is much more true in America than Canada, but just wait) in the name of the war on drugs, I begin to give credence to Burroughs' idea that these drug warriors are not human beings from this planet at all, but disguised Venusian aliens who feast on human pain and suffering. Enough is definitely enough. No politician who is ignorant on this matter deserves to be elected. An admittedly unscientific internet poll in Canada conducted recently says 80% + of Canadians support legalization. Until this ongoing obscenity of prohibition is straightened out, nothing else is worth talking about.
