Canada & the Reagan Challenge - Stephen Clarkson
includes the definitive study on the NEP, among other things. Clarkson is kind of like Canada's Chomsky, he packs a lot of information into his writings but they're really dry & boring (that's how I like it though)

Uncle Sam & Us - Stephen Clarkson
definitive study on the Mulroney/Chretien years

Democracy & Regulation - Greg Palast, Theo McGregor, Jerrold Oppenheim
mostly about US utilities but has lots of good info on Enron. I like the next one better

White Gold - Karl Froschauer
AWESOME book about hydro power in Canada, and how plans for a national grid have routinely been killed over the last 50yrs

Killing Hope - William Blum
definitive book on US military & CIA interventions since WWII
www.killinghope.org

Imperial Brain Trust - Shoup, Minter
cool impossible-to-find, obscure book on the Council on Foreign Relations & how they've planned out US world domination for the last 80yrs
