NDP MP Has The Right Idea

My god a politician actually said something intelligent.
Yes,please do ensure our food is safe.
Which of course raises the question why are we importing american beef?
If we used our own,think of all the fuel that would be saved if those trucks were not running north/south all year long.
Where is the efficiency in that?

We'll all die of mad beef disease thanks to them damn Yankee imperialist meat packers!!!

I wrote the federal minister of agriculture several weeks ago, asking why beef was being imported from ANY country, considering that Canadian producers are going bankrupt waiting for bureaucrats to shake hands. No response, and don't really expect any.

Leaders in the Pine Tree Republic "Banana Republic" know they don't have to respond. They are never held accountable for anything.

This would be a great opportunity to close the border to all American products, not just beef. The immediate American reaction would be to close the border to our products (shooting themselves in the foot in the process by giving up their main oil supply). This in turn would lead to the abrogation of NAFTA, which is what we at Vive le Canada have been talking about for months.

Now, let's see if the PTB in Ottawa can discern this strategic opening and TAKE ACTION.

Much coolness. Let's do it, and do it now. We should keep our garbage in our country, and they should keep their garbage in theirs! Permanently! We should stick to trading with people more like us anyway, such as the Chinese. Only one problem though...Chinese people are quicker to smell a rat than those stupid, blindly trusting schmucks to the South...and vastly more "protectionist"...Chinese know how to look out for themselves, and they won't take sh** from anybody. But with our French roots, we have the ability to sell anything to anyone, anytime (whether it's ours to sell or not), and I say we do it! There's no harm in a little "tit for tat" is there? Time we cut those yanks off...and for good! Lets' send all our lumber, beef, oil, fish, seal skins, and RUSH cd's to China! We don't have any need for anything American. China can provide us with better information technology, medical technology, farm produce (all that rice, wow), movie entertainment, music, television programming, the arts...and they most surely can protect us better than the Americans ever could (MANY more troops and WMD). And they wouldn't be afraid to use those WMD's on our behalf if we wanted, unlike those wussy Americans. We don't need a "defender" looking out for us that is so weak as to go to war trying not to waste civilans lifes when they have the manpower and weaponry to simply go in and annihilate everyone and sort out the "good" from the "bad" corpses later...the Chinese have what it takes to get the job done without all that innefficent, and inneffective "sympathy" crap getting in the way. Yes, we'd be much better off with our hands in China's pockets, than Americas for sure. We win all the way around! We Canadians have no need for ANYTHING American. And won't...EVER!

True Vive le Canada'ers have long since decided that the Chinese way of life is superior to anything being promoted by our "neighbors" to the south. You could look it up, but the consensus several months ago was that, after the NAFTA cancellation that was suggested here, the next step would be a military alliance with the Chinese in which we would host their nuclear missles aimed at the USA (with Canadian officers, of course). Get with the program.
