    The ONLY acceptable policy is to test every single cow that goes to slaughter. Otherwise a complete boycott on beef may get the attention of the government and the packers? With all the warnings given to Canada and the USA from the devistated British farmers you'd really think it would be a no brainer, and well I guess it is, except not in the brainy, smart way.

    Yes the warnings were there. From us Candians and the British farmers.

    Profit loss is much worse than possible death and disease in some people's eyes and that's why we have 'mad cows' in the first place. Ironically mad cow does cause profit loss, but by then the owner of the company has probably sold all his shares and wipped his hands of the whole mess.

    Cynical I know, but it's reality.
