I do not feel sorry in the least for the poor treatment that anglophones in Quebec are receiving, as described in Mr. Jarymowycz's letter. Perhaps he should remember that anglophones in Quebec benefit from the best university, schooling and hospital in the country. Francophone minorities elsewhere in the country do not fare [b]nearly as well.

"We are all in this together somehow, some more than others somehow"
If one were to examine the origin of english and french educational and medical facilities in Canada one would find that in Quebec the english speaking facilities were paid for by anglophones: McGill University, Royal Victoria Hospital, West Island Hospital in Pointe Claire, etc.
In the other 9 provinces one would find that the francophone educational and medical facilities were paid for by the anglophone population, also.
Granted that nowadays the Quebec provincial government supplies operating funds to perceived anglophone facilities, but that is a relatively recent development.
If francophones are unhappy with their educational and medical facilities the solution, to this individual at least, is obvious.
