Will We Be Pledging Allegiance To The North American Union?

Here is a satirical version of the U.S. pledge of allegiance I wrote for a protest against the SPP coming up in Edmonton. The tentative idea is to ask people to make this pledge as a way to open conversation and distribute handouts on why we should all oppose the SPP and deep integration. This satirical pledge is meant to convey the Americanization inherent to deep integration, and the loss of national sovereignty that Canada, the U.S. and Mexico face as well. Feel free to use and distribute it if you like it, or write your own version. Pledge of Allegiance to the North American Union I pledge allegiance to no national flag but to the Union of North America, and the hegemony for which it stands, one Continent, under the Market, deeply integrated, with liberty and justice for corporations only.

I can envisage a variation whereby one must pledge allegiance to a corporation in order to be a citizen-consumer............
