I actually never heard of Intertan prior to this post; what is it, other than a superstore? What does it sell?

But yes I do hate to see these Canadian companies of any sort being bought by foreign companies...there are suppose to be rules, aren't there?

If you want to really get a feel for the situation, checkout the Investment Canada Act website - http://investcan.ic.gc.ca/ - the purpose of the act is to "provide for the review of significant investments in Canada by non-Canadians in order to ensure such benefit to Canada". I am pretty sure they have NEVER denied an acquisition.

Naturally we're on the Al Qaeda hit list, all our stores are American owned. If you want some "soft" US targets, pick a store.

InterTAN = Tandy = Radio Shack. InterTAN builds most of the name brand stuff that Radio Shack sells under the name "Tandy".<p> "Radio Shack; You've got questions, we've got blank stares."<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />
